Great article! Congrats. Viral marketing is not really my area of expertise so cannot add any relevant insights. Particularly I feel that the flash mob concept is getting over exploited in Portugal, but once again I guess I’m not part of the target of this actions.

My experience is very short but i think it’s suitable. I prefer the financial security of a company worker but beind an entrepeneur gives you more schedule flexibility if you have any personal issue going on. In the other hand, being an entrepreneur could be a lonely job because all the difficult decisions are taken by you.

Hi Claudia,

From my personal experience it will work perfectly in small, medium or even large companies but it all comes down to how much you want and need it.
Most people like to take a break to talk, call someone or even walk to their office just to stretch their legs a little and leave the computer for a while and for those people it’s incredibly hard to use something like Yammer to communicate with someone near by.

On the other hand I made a small experiment and asked my team mates to try and use Yammer for 2 days and the result was really positive in terms of schedules and work done. But like I said, it all comes down to motivating people and making them understand the benefits of using it.

I can tell you for sure it won’t work on commercial departments

I am searching about new media and social networks where my company could be and I found Yammer. I think it could be a very good solution for internal communication problems but i think it won’t work in small companies. What’s your point of view?

I guess you just need to give a unique ID or Class to the element you want to remove. Give it some unique way of identify it and use it with the .remove function:

So if you element is called foo use $(‘foo’).remove
