Here you have your text holder. The big issue here is that you are not able to select of click the text. Therefore I do not recoment this technique if you intent that people may want to copy your text or click on it. What happens is that the gradient image is placed over the text holder giving the idea of a text gradient. Appart from IE6 all current browsers work perfectly with PNG transparency.
